Hi, I got some questions I want you to answer. Please help.

1) Ponds are noted for their rich and varied types of plant and animal life, all maintain in a delicate ecological balance.
Q:According to the key, "maintain" should be corrected but I'm not sure how. (My guess is to "maintained." )

2) Some maple trees are raised for their sap, which has a high sugar content for yields and syrup.
Q: I have to get the word "for" correct. Is "that" an correct one for that?

3) Asteroids may be fragments of a planet shattered long ago or from material the nuclei of old comets.
Q: The answer here is "from material" but how?
(My guess again here is to delete "material.")

4) Most sand dunes are always in motion as wind pushes sand upward one side of each dune, over the top, and down the other side.
Q: "upward" is the one that needs to be corrected. (My guess is "up.")

1) Ponds are noted for their rich and varied types of plant and animal life, all maintain in a delicate ecological balance.
Q:According to the key, "maintain" should be corrected but I'm not sure how. (My guess is to "maintained." ) "maintained" would be fine.

2) Some maple trees are raised for their sap, which has a high sugar content for yields and syrup.
Q: I have to get the word "for" correct. Is "that" an correct one for that? I would say, "...high sugar content and yields syrup." The sugar content doesn't yield syrup. The sap, with its high sugar content, yields syrup.

3) Asteroids may be fragments of a planet shattered long ago or from material the nuclei of old comets.
Q: The answer here is "from material" but how?
(My guess again here is to delete "material.")
"...or material from the nuclei...".
4) Most sand dunes are always in motion as wind pushes sand upward one side of each dune, over the top, and down the other side.
Q: "upward" is the one that needs to be corrected. (My guess is "up.") I agree.

For #2 below, "...has a high sugar content for yields sugar and syrup." was the original sentence. So...the correct answer would be "...has a high sugar content and yields sugar and syrup." right?
