Hello,
1.'Despite all the abuse he went through, he never complained.'
Would it be fine to use 'suffered' or 'experienced' instead of 'went through' here as in
2.'Despite all the abuse he suffered, he never complained.'
and
3.'Despite all the abuse he experienced, he never complained.'
Thank you very much. |

| I think so and of your two suggestions, "suffered" is the better. |

Hello asterix,
I'm afraid I don't quite understand your meaning. Do you mean 'went through' and 'experienced' doesn't sound natural here?
Do suffering a lot of pain and suffering from a lot of pain convey the same idea?
Thank you very much for your help. |
