Hello, teachers!!

Happy New Year!!

(1) We have seating room for 100 people.
--->
Why don't you write like the following? Why do you use the word "seating"?

(11) We have a room for 100 people.

Thank you in advance.

Because it means there are 100 chairs or other places to sit. You might have room for 1,000 people but only 100 chairs, so you wouldn't say you have room for 1,000 if the people are expecting to sit down for the event.
