I know that #1 is a correct sentence because it means #3.
Then, does #2 make sense? I'd like to know #2 is correct. If it's correct, as we can change #1 into #3, what sentence can #2 be changed into?

Hi
1. Yes,#1 is equivalent to #3 to me.
2. I think #2 is incorrect in use of tenses.
=> You had to have those pretty flowers first, and then you could give her (those pretty flowers).
So the sentence might be "I had pretty flowers, which I gave her".
Another expression with same meaning to that, I would say:
I gave her those pretty flowers that/which I had. |
