Hello, teachers!!
I looked the word "toilet water" in the dictionary and found that the meaning was "a scented liquid used as a light perfume," but can you imagine the water in a toilet bowl is also "toilet water" when you hear it? Do you have only one meaning of toilet water?
Thank you in advance. |

I think you would hear the French "Eau de toilette" more often in this context.
The literal English translation is of course toilet water but as you indicated, most people would tend to think of the contents of their toilet bowl rather than a scent to be applied such as perfume. |
