What's the meaning of "product houses" in general and in this passage?


Most hoteliers are aware that to be competitive they must have a spa ― and millions have been spent on creating treatment rooms, hydrotherapy pools, relaxation rooms and ice caves. Consumer demand is being met by an ever-increasing supply. It�s great news for the spa industry, [u]product houses[/u], therapists and hoteliers themselves ― but is it such good news for those of us parting with a quick ￡50 for a half-hour rubdown?
