I have an expression in the magazine I don't understand the grammatical
structure. I understannd what this mean though.
It says " What's logic got to do with it?"
Is"What's" the short forms of either "What does" or "What has"?
Regards.

"what's" can be short for 'what is', 'what has' and 'what does'.
What does logic got to do with it. no good
What is logic got to do with it? no good
What has logic got to do with it? good
So in that sentence "what's" is short for 'what has'.
'What does logic have to do with it?' would also be correct. |
