What does "trail-running" mean?
And
What does "less grazing" mean in the sentence of "Dams in Africa have meant less grazing and less floodplain agriculture"?
Thanks |

One kind of trail running is people running on trails in less-developed areas, for exercise, fun, adventure, etc.
As for less grazing, it means that damming up the rivers in Africa will decrease the amount of water available to water the natural vegetation, and the animals will therefore have less to eat. They won't be able to eat the grass / to graze.
Thre will also be less agriculture (farming) in the floodplain, since the waters will be harnessed behind the dams and not flowing down the rivers to flood over onto the flat areas nearby. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
