What's the difference between "ten thousands of people" and "ten thousand of people" ?
I see "ten thousand of troups" in the internet. When should I omit "s" in "ten thousands of ~"?

You can say "ten thousand people," which means 10,000 people, or "tens of thousands of people," which means 10,000 or 20,000 or what have you -- many people. You would not say "ten thousand(s) of people" at all.
