Hi
THERE HAVE BEEN reports that Taiwan has a higher rate of doctors convicted over medical disputes than other countries . In fact , inappropriate sentencing of doctors is just one way in which Taiwan treats the medical profession unfairly .
Also far too common are insults , threats and even personal injury .
...
1. I assume that 'Also far too common are insults , threats and even personal injury' might be an inversion of normal word order . If we reordered that sentence it might be --
Insults , threats and even personal injury are also far too common .
2. The other question is I postulate that chunk like 'far too common' might mean 'extremely common' in this case . Am I wrong with those two points ?
Will you have the goodness to help me with my questions ?
Good luck!

Yes, you have always been helpful to English learners in this forum.
By the way , I'm curious about whether you're an American expatriate in Japan or one of the Japanese is an expert in English ?
Sorry ! I should have paid attention to the answer I wanted to know was already in your post --Canadian-American who teaches English for a living at Mr Micawber's. |
