Hi teachers,
Please let me know of the meanings of the phrases or words if you can anwer them. Thank you so much.
1.Fate dealt him a *sweet card*

2.What is the difference between *stammer* and *stutter*, in terms of the degree of seriousness?

3.That child's got to much spirit for a girl of her *circumstances*.
Does it mean "social condition" in this case and is it commonly used?

4.I am a *cheap drunk*.
I get drunk easily?

5.Your feelings have a 2 second recound rate.
I am not sure what it means.

1. Means that Fate or Chance provided him with something very good or useful. You have to play the hand that Fate deals you in life. If you get good cards, good for you. You can also be dealt a lousy hand.

2. I'm not sure, but I think the difference is that a stammerer has trouble getting a word out occasionally, so there is a long pause before he or she says the word. The stutterer says part of the word several times, and may also stammer. D-d-d-do you see what I m-m-m-mean?

3. Yes, I think so.

4. Yes. Usually you hear, "I'm a cheap date," meaning, you won't have to spend much on alcohol.
