Five years ago, on February 5, 2003 -- Colin Powell read the rough draft of the speech that Cheney Chief of Staff, Scooter Libby, had written. Turning the pages, Powell shouted "I'm not reading this. This is *beep*!" .... and then read it to the United Nations anyway.

Colin Powell used his credibility with America to sell George Bush and *beep* Cheney's War. A war that costs US more than $100 billion every year "off budget" (and probably about $2 trillion so far and counting down the road even if it ended tomorrow) and thousands more dead this year.

It's easy to make that sort of allegation without any substance to it.
Hitler's propaganda minister, Josef Goebbels, used it a lot. So did Stalin and Co. - it still works.
