1.We often use a cell phone as (a) means of communication.
2.(The) means of communication today have become very diverse.

The articles in the parentheses in each sentence are necessary or preferable?

Thank you in advance!

The articles in the parentheses in each sentence are necessary or preferable? This is not a grammatically correct sentence. It should start with the question word "Are".

I am curious. Are you just studying English or are you writing or translating as part of your job?
Thank you in advance!

I don't think your questions are too many. I was just curious about whether your English study was work-related or not.
Do you do some writing in English? I mean besides just for study purposes.

Yes, I do some writing in English.
Some of my questions are related to my work, and others are just for my study. Is it no good to ask questions related to my work? I just want to improve my English by solving all questions I have. (Of course I try to get answers by consulting my dictionaries or grammer books or searching the Internet before posting questions.)

With regards,
