A guilty pleasure is a secret indulgence, not necessarily illegal or immoral, but maybe a little naughty. A dieter might take one day off per week to engage in the guilty pleasure of eating ice cream. A non-smoker might play poker once a month and engage in the guilty pleasure of smoking a ciger.
In this case, she strays from her serious reading by looking at a silly magazine like Chic. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
