And by 2010, China is expected to be home to at least 7 of the world's 10 largest shopping malls. |
I saw the quote in the newspaper but I think that it's not correct grammatically. I guess that 'China is expected to be home to at least 7 of the world's 10 largest shopping malls.' should be corrected to 'China is expected to be the home of at least 7 of the world's 10 largest shopping malls.'
Could you tell me if I'm right?
Thanks. |

The original is correct in colloquial English. In my opinion, your version is better English. |

Search the google for "is home to" and "is the home to" and you will find which is better. |
