Dear Tutors:
I got a wrong answer of a test to fill in the blanks, and here is that question:
People take aspirin _____ to relieve their headaches.
(A) constantly (B) compelled (C) closely (D) chiefly
I chose (A) but the correct answer was (D).
Could you please tell me why, thanks a lot!^_^
Best wishes,
Rae Huang. |

Hi,
If you take aspirin constantly (all the time), you would hear ringing in your ears and your stomach will bleed.
Aspirin is used chiefly (primarily) as an analgesic (pain killer), anti-inflammatory and blood thinner.
