Hi,

Will the following sentence sound more common if I replace a further by another or further?

Management disclosed that the company is contemplating a further $50 million of development projects over and above the already announced.

Thanks,

MG.

Hello Music Gold -

'another' would be okay...if, what you mean is 'an equal' additional amount (keeping in mind that 'an'-'another' would menan one more)

'a further' here means 'in addition to' to the amount already allocated

in order to use 'further' - there would have to be more than one 'additional amount' being considered

Philo
