I saw the sceane in the movie Titanic where Decaprio gave Kate a small piece of paper secretly and it says to making it count.
What does it mean? Is this expression commonly used as spoken language? |

Make it count is a common expression.
Basically it means:
I am making a sacrifice for you. Appreciate my effort, and do not waste the opportunity I give you with my sacrifice. Make the most of this opportunity.
A similar expression you may know that means almost the same thing:
"Why don't you do your best?" -Ueda Sensei. |
