Would a native speaker accept the singular form:


They told me their life story /(stories???)
Everybody should express their political belief / (beliefs???)
Everybody should express their opinion / (opinions???)

The plural form is better (unless you have a special situation where everybody's story, belief, and opinion is all the same).
