Hello,
I'm a bit confused with the comparative structure. After "than", should it be "me" or "I"?
"She's taller than [me/I]."
I understood that after a preposition, we should use the "me" form. But is it the case here?
I have heard "than me" a lot. And personally, "than I" sounds a bit strange in an old-fashioned way. But is it, in fact, the correct form to use?
"She's taller than I am."
This sentence, however, sounds ok to me.
"The new machines are no more reliable than the old ones [were/are/nothing]"
In this sentence, is it better to end the sentence after "the old ones" or to end with a verb? If it should end with a verb, which one should it be: "were" or "are"?
Thank you,
