Dear teachers:
Would you please let me know what the first part means?


It's sort of hard to look at Donald Trump's hairdo and say, "There's a *sensible man.*" But he has a point when it comes to hygiene. On his Trump University blog, he confesses, "I don't like germs."

What does the first part mean?

A sensible person is one who is not frivolous, someone with a level head, someone who is not foolish or silly.

If you've ever seen Donald Trump and his ridiculous hair, you will know that he does not look like a sensible person, but rather like a complete nincompoop. He looks like he's wearing a hat made out of a dead rodent.

That's all the author is trying to say here. When you look at "the Donald" and his crazy hair, you don't think, "Oh, what a level-headed, sensible person." Rather, you think, "What is up with that guy? Doesn't he have a mirror?"
