Which expression is more commonly used? Which is more casual?
1. I got caught cheating on my wife with a young girl.
2. I got busted cheating on my wife with a young girl. |

It depends.
Did it lead to divorce? Then option #1.
Does the wife treat the husband like some naughty errant child to be scolded but does not lead to divorce? Then #2 (busted is what a child says when they get caught.) |
