It is foolish to admire the Western nations and all they stand for.

What are the things the Western nations stand for?? Culture or something? Please give me a couple of examples so that I can get an idea.

Self-determination (democracy or some form of democratic representation in government) and freedom (of speech, expression, religion, paternity, occupation, movement within your home country).

It is fairly well defined by the U.S. Declaration of Independence written in 1776 which states in part:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..."
