This man had been talking on his mobile phone for about six hours a day everyday of his working week, for a few years.

When you say "working week", does that mean that this man has the weeks he doesn't work at all??

Thanks.

Hello Tisogai -

'work week' usually means Monday through Friday, as many people have weekends off.

and...Yes, he may (or not) have (a - or) several weeks when he is on vacation and doesn't 'work at all'

but... that is not necessarily what is implied in your example...

it simply means that he spends a lot of time using his mobile phone for personal (not work related) reasons while at work.

Philo

btw - '....this man has some weeks he dosen't...'
