Hello there!

I'm reading a story about Prometheus (Greek Mythology) and I want to know the meaning of "juicy scraps."

"He told the priest to cover the best pieces of meat with skin and bones. He told the priest to cover the rest with fat and juicy scraps."

Here I guess "juicy scraps" are something good, right?

What does scraps mean?

Thank you so much.

Scraps are leftovers or pieces nobody wants.

In this case Prometheus is trying to trick the gods. He is covering the good meat with bones to make it look unappealing.

He is then trying to add lots of scraps to make it look like it is more and to try and make it more appealing to the gods so they pick this pile
