You made a good sentence! It just needs a little punctuation:
I want to write on the whitebord as little as possible, as long as it doesn't have a bad effect on teaching the class.
If you'd like a paraphrase:
I want to write on the whiteboard as little as possible. However, I don't what it to affect how the class goes.
