The content is great, and your ideas are clear--good job! This is an interesting topic.
All I would do is make some changes with punctuation, a few grammar things, and make a couple of the longer sentences into separate sentences. Here is just a suggested revision for you to consider. Others may also have ideas.
"Genetically modified food" is what comes to my mind when I think of "Biotechnology". When I go to the supermarket, I see so many different items for the same product, each with a different feature, made by many different companies.
My family and I always make sure not to buy any of those genetically modified products, because we are very skeptical about their safety. I've heard that insects can die from eating genetically modified crops. It makes me wonder, "Is it really safe for us to eat something that can kill insects, even though it has been approved by the goverment?" But, I've also heard that scientists have recently been researching the development of a new type of rice which could alleviate hay-fever, and onions which do not make us cry. Maybe some new products could be good.
I think that far more genetically modified products than I can think of will be on the market in the future. Food is indispensable for us. I would like to gain correct knowledge in this regard, so that I can judge what is safe or not. Biotechnology plays a large and important role in our lives; I really think I should get deeper understandings of the field. I will try to learn as much as possible from this programme, and then make good use of it in my future life. |
