Would you accept the following:


The world`s energy needs with regard to oil are about 85 million barrels per day.


I feel it`s unacceptable. Please show me where the serious mistakes in the sentence above are.

"The world`s energy needs with regard to oil are about 85 million barrels per day."

It's not bad, just a little too wordy. You can combine "oil" with "barrels" to make a simpler sentence.

Try one of these:

Regarding oil, the world's energy needs are about 85 million barrels a day.

The world's energy needs require 85 million barrels of oil per day.

It takes 85 million barrels of oil a day to meet the world's energy needs.
