Do you know all your son's friends?
In response to this question, could one say:
1-No. Actually I don't know quite a few of them.
instead of:
a-No. Actually there are quite a few of them I don't know.
or:
2-No. Actually I don't know quite a few.
instead of:
b-No. Actually there are quite a few I don't know.
Are 1 and 2 acceptable responses to the initial question? |

No. You would have to say something like, "No. Actually, I don't know very many [of them]." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
