I saw #1 and #3 in a book. I think #2 is correct rather than #1 and also #4 is correct rather than #3. But I'm not sure if I'm right.
So, please tell me which examples are correct in the quote.

| They are all correct. The addition of "people" is an adverbial noun phrase modifying warn or warned. The sentences are fine with it or without. |
