A costs 10 Euros and B costs 10 Euros. Would a native speaker accept:
The prices are equal.
Or is it absolutely necessary to say:
The prices are the same.

The prices are equal and they are the same. The two items have equal prices. I wouldn't find that strange. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |

Hello!
I agree, both are correct--but a native speaker probably wouldn't say "The prices are equal." That's a bit forrmal. We'd just say, "Both cost the same."
