In the above, the word "sensationalistic" doesn't show up in my English dictionary and instead "sensational" show up.
Among native speakers, is the word "sensationalistic" used in the same meaning of "sansational"?

| Sensational is the correct word - there is no such word as sensationalistic except in the mind of ignorant people. |

| I think you could use "sensationalized" as well, to imply that they made the stories more sensational than they should have been. At least, that would be my thought about the meaning. |
