When I was reading a book, I met the sentence I couldn't understand. Could you please tell me the meaning of the sentence? What is "the leering bag boy " means? I can't imagine what the leering bag looks like. The whole sentence is "the leering bag boy at Winn-Dixie " |

Hello Karikaririka -
'Winn-Dixie' is a supermarket
a 'bag boy' puts the items you buy into grocery bags (paper or plastic) for you and (sometimes) carries them to your car for you
in your example - it is the 'boy' who is 'leering'

I understand. 'leering' modify the 'boy'.

You have been a great help to me.
Thank you very much. |
