We can listen to the radio through the internet and it is a nice way to learn English. But I can't find a good radio station.

Do you know the radio station NHK in Japan? It's a kind of national station.
If you listen to this station, you could learn Japanese very efficiently.

I am looking for the radion station where I can listen to practical English like NHK. Please let me know. I like the talk programs.

If you are young, let me know the one which your mother is listening to.
I am not young but like pop music in America or Europe so the one mixed wtih music and talk is the best. Surprised

Hello,
I'm Japanese and learned English by VOA Special English.
Now I listen VOA and NPR. Both radio stations broadcast music programs.

The VOA is established for overseas broadcasting in cold war era. NPR is the nationwide public radio station.
The VOA announcers speak slower than the NPR.
You can listen NPR directly from their web site, or via local public radio stations, Siattle KUOW is one of them.

In recent years, the US restrict Internet broadcasting, because of this, it may be hard to hear regional radio stations.

RealPlayer, MS media player, or Mac iTune has a function to search radio stations.

BBC has many radio staions for the UK people, but it's very hard to catch their words.

I had asked the same thing in another sites some time before but I could not get an answer.
It seems that American people don't listen radio programs nowadays.

Thank you for useful informations.

I have never heard the US restricted internet broadcasting.

Yes, we Japanese are not familiar with British English, especialy with pronunciation ot it.
I am really feeling it hard to catch up with it.

Now I have succeeded in getting the new version of MS Media Player.
and am able to listen to any radio stations.

Thank you so much. Surprised
