Everyone should be free to decide when to get married and whether to have children.
Is that OK to rewite as following??
Everyone should be free to decide when they will get married and if they will have children or not.

Yes, but it is not improved by these changes. It is better in the original.

| Usually we try to get away from using "everyone" and "they" and the first example does that very well. |
