"Public transportation is not convenient in this area."
Are the following sentences acceptable and have the same meaning as this ?

1.Facilities for travel are not convenient/good in this area.
2.We don't have good/convenient facilities for travel in this area.

Thank youi in advance!

No. General travel and public transportation are two different things.
Facilities for travel could refer to fuel stations, rest stops, public rest rooms, and affordable places to eat and/or sleep for travelers by individual car. Public transportation typically refers to availability of buses or commuter trains/subways.

Thank you very much for your answer, Bob S.-san!!
Then, could "Transportation facilities are not convenient in this area." have the same meaning?

General transportation facilities is still different from public transportation facilities. A facility is a place. So a transportation facility could be a fuel station, rest stop, train station, air port, etc. A public transportation facility would be like a bus stop or train or subway station. What specifically is not available?

Thank you again, Bob S.san!!
I understand the difference.
(I just wanted to say "The place is not conveniently located in terms of bus or railway services.)

With regards,
