Dear teachers:
(a) Please check with the Examiner what is the problem.
(b) Please check with the Examiner what the problem is.
Which one is correct? Thanks. |

Hi River1974,
I would say:
Please check with the Examiner as to what the problem is.
More likely, this is what the person meant:
Please check with the Examiner as to what the problem was.
You usually check something after the fact; especially if there was an audit, review or investigation.
