Hello, teachers.
I have a simple question. When you say "the nook of the desk" as in "From some remote nook of her writing table the woman took a thick bundle of letters...", do you mean "the nook of one of the drawers"? |

A nook is another word for corner, a small corner. It could be in a drawer or it could be on the table. It is a small hidden place.
