Here I am again!!!

This time I'm supposed to write a letter of application to an international magazine advertisement, answering the following questions:

What do you think are the advantages for a student of staying with a host family compared with college accommodation?

What qualities is it necessary for a successful host family to have?

Why would you like to host international students?

Dear Mr Martin from Hosts International Ltd.,
I am writing in reply to the advertisement Host families wanted, where you asked a few questions that I have answered below.

I think that spending sometime with a family instead of staying in a college accommodation gives the international student a real chance of fully experiencing the way of life of the country he/she is staying in. This certainly amplifies his/her understanding of the countrys culture. Besides, I believe that it is easier for some students to deal with the distance from their own family if they are hosted with another.

About the qualities a successful host family must have, I think that above all it must be highly sympathetic and willing to offer a very good experience to the students. All the family members must have agreed over the decision of hosting an international student and be prepared to deal with a person that might come from a culture completely different from theirs. Otherwise, things might end up in a really bad experience both for the host family and its guest.

I would like to host international students myself because I see it as a very enriching experience. Hosting international students might allow one and its family to get in contact with bright foreign nationals that could bring a new perspective over life. I believe an experience like this would help broadening my childrens mind about the world. Besides, it is also a good way to develop friendships all around the world without leaving home.

A few small items:

I think that spending some time (2 words, not 1) with a family...

Hosting international students might allow one and his or her family... (don't use neuter it pronoun when referring to a person)

...this would help broadening my childrens minds about the world. (children is plural, so mind should be plural also)

That's all that really stand out.
