I understand all #1, #2 and #3 mean almost the same, but I don�t quite understand what �by� in #2 and �to� in #3 mean, respectively?
1. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
2. Do as you would be done by.
3. Do as you would be done to.
What do �by� in #2 and �to� in #3 mean, respectively?fwkk8769 |

Where did you find 2 and 3? They sound rather odd to me. I have usually heard:
Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. It is a saying, called "the Golden Rule". In its more modern form, it is: Treat others as you would like to be treated. |
