A dictionary at hand says that #1 is grammatically correct while #2 is not.
1. Though I tried hard, I couldn�t finish it in time.
2. Though I tried hard, yet I couldn�t finish it in time.
I think, however, #2 is also correct. What do you think? |

No it's not correct.
If you want to use yet, you don't need though.
e.g. I tried my best, yet I didn't complete it on time would be correct.
Here, yet is used in its sense of, nevertheless, or in spite of that. |
