| Quote: |
| She climbed up on the bed next to the great man. Tears ran from both of their eyes and she drew her arms around the useless shoulders of her father. Her head on his chest, she thought of many things. She remembered the wonderful times together and how she had always felt protected and cherished by the great man. She felt grief for the loss she was to endure, the words of love that had comforted her. |
1. What does it mean 'drew her arms around the shoulders' ?
2. 'She felt grief for the loss she was to endure, and the words of love that had comforted her.' is right rather than 'She felt grief for the loss she was to endure, the words of love that had comforted her.'?
Thanks. |

1. She put her arms around her father.
2. She felt grief for the loss that she would soon endure, namely, the loss of the comforting words of her father. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
