Hello, teachers!!
I know of the following sentences.
----->
(1) Let's call it a day.
(2) Let's call it a night.
But I am not sure about how I should use (1). For example, it is 9:00 p.m. and the workers in the office finish the work. At this time, may I say (1) Let's call it a day?
Thank you in advance. |

The difference between these is not so big. Use "night" at night and use day during the "day".
Like the example you gave, if you had been at the office all day and finished at 9pm. You could say, "let's call it a day" and it's fine. Saying "let's call it a night" seems alright too.
Hope this helps.
