Hello, teachers!!
May I say "How much do you have" in the sense of "How much money do you have"?
I mean, when you hear "How much do you have," what do you imagine?
(1) money
(2) other than money

It depends on what you are talking about.
If you are talking about money, "How much do you have?" means how much money.
If you are talking about flour, it means how much flour.
Usually you would specify what it is that you are asking about.
Incidentally, it is considered to be bad form in many western societies to ask anyone how much money they have unless they are very close friends. |
