Dear teachers!!

(1) The clouds are swimming in the sky.
(2) The clouds are floating in the sky.

I googled and found (1) and (2), but I am not sure about the difference between two sentences. If you use (1)=swimming, is it like a poet?

Thank you in advance.

Yes, you are right.

#1 is more common and literal.

#2 Swimming is more poetic and I imagine that the clouds are moving fast.
