Does it make sense?
Is the expression 'catch the fancy of' used commonly among native speakers?
Thanks. |

Hello -
"Her song caught my fancy."
'to fancy something' or 'to catch ones' fancy' -
a rather old-fashioned expression meaning
to 'please a caprice' - pleasing in a very light-hearted way - without much thought/consideration.
'tickle ones' fancy' is arguably the most 'fanciful' of the lot...
"Her song tickled my fancy."
