Hi
...
Analysts have said the North might be trying to pressure the outgoing US President George W. Bush looks for diplomatic successes to bolster its legacy. The North might also be thinking it can seek a better deal under a new US president.

...
The above is excerpted from a piece of report talking about " Hill looks to save nuclear deal " in Taipei Times.
Do you think the word in bold above in the text, looks, is a typo? And it should be looking?
Thanks for your help!
Good day!

You are correct that it is a typo. It should be to look or into looking. _________________ "It is impossible to speak in such a way that you cannot be misunderstood." -- Karl Popper |

Hi Bob S.
Thanks for helping verify that!
You are right. It should be ' to look ', or ' into looking '. I should have noted that the ' its(... its legacy) ' in the text referred to ' of the north (korea) ', not refer to ' of the President George W. Bush '. The right correction is not ' looking '. At first, I thought ' looking for diplomatic successes to bolster its legacy ' might refer to ' the President George W. Bush ', but I was wrong there.
Good day
