Hello, I would like to tell you about New Zealand culture. It is a mixture of many cultures, including Maori (the native people), European, Asian and Pacific. |

Hi, I would like to introduce you about Japanese calligraphy.
It is one of the Japanese cultures.
Calligraphy was descended from China a long time ago.
Using an India ink and a brush represents it on a white paper.
So, it is only world of white and black.
When I was 7 years old, I wished I want to become write a good hand.
So, I started to lean calligraphy.
Japanese calligraphy is difficult but so funny! |

I am from Guam, USA. My island is a United States territory. The native people call themselves Chamorros or Chamorus. We can speak English and our native language. Although we are also Americans, we still have our own culture, which is a bit different from America. |

Speaking about calligraphy, I used to learn it when I was an elementary school student. A that time,I had a calligraphy class every week. Our school would hold a calligraphy contest each semester and each class should assign at least one student to attend the contest. I once represented my class to attend the calligraphy contest but didn't get any award, however,it was a meaningful experience to me. For so many years,I have been out of practice on the calligraphy, but those days of practicing calligraphy would be an unforgettable experience to me. |

Hong Kong is mixture of western and eastern culture. We do have calligraphy contest in school in the past. But it is not emphasized. Nowadays, it seems that not every school has this practice. You can only learn it by joining extra-curriculum activities after school. |

Canada - soouthwestern Ontario to be precise. It's probably not as cold as many people think. There are no bears or moose or cougars or snakes although there are deer and beaver and other small animals. It's kind of flat with a lot of lakes and rivers. It is a modern area with a very good standard of life. If you want to know more http://www.canadatourism.com/en/ctc/ctc_index.cfm
Good luck

Hi,I am a student from Taiwan, and I knew that you want to know more about the other cultures,so I think maybe I could tell you a little bit
information about my country,Taiwan
First of all,I have to admit that the public security in Taiwan wasn't very good, and under this kind of situation,an occupattion which we called it"prostitude" was being encouraged,so there are a lot of brothel in Taiwan, the most satirizing thing is that most of them was in those big cities, such like;Kaohsiung,Taipei......etc,and this is the first which I called it Taiwanese calture I want to introduce to you!
Second and the last thing I want to tell is night markets,it was really an odd thing that many Taiwanes likes to sleep up late,in that case, where could they go if they gets hungrey? The best and the possible place they may choose is night markets, and this can truly explain why there are so many night markets around this small island!! |
