Hi everybody!
Please advise me how to say in English (using "approximate") in the following case:
A curve A1 is represented by a number of straight lines.
can I say, (1) "A curve A1 is approximated by a number of straight lines"?
should I say, (2) "A curve A1 is approximated to a number of straight lines" or (3) "A curve A1 is approximated as a number of straight lines"?
Many thanks in advance.
