Im trying to put a sentence in Japanese into English.
I understand #1, below , is natural English. Im at a loss whether or not #2 is good, acceptable English.
1. Can you read and write music?
2. Can you read and write score?
What do you think? |

Score commonly refers to the whole written piece of music. It would be better to say:
Can you read and write musical notation?
Though mostly I hear it simply called sheet music. _________________ "It is impossible to speak in such a way that you cannot be misunderstood." -- Karl Popper |
